The Mott Community College food pantry, Mott Eats, is a direct response to the need among the student population for more resources to fight food insecurity. With rising living expenses and the external demands on students, it has become increasingly difficult for students to juggle the costs of living with the costs of obtaining a higher education degree, and thus many students are finding themselves choosing between essentials such as food and the costs of college.

Mott Eats was established to provide emergency relief to help students at Mott Com- munity College. As a member of the Mott community (current student, staff or faculty) you can visit Mott Eats. We have a variety of food/personal items. This effort, is one
facet of a multi-faceted approach to combating food insecurity on campus.

Each individual may visit the pantry two times per month. In an event of an emergency,
a third visit is available. Any current Oakland University community member is eligible
to receive support from the pantry. To visit the Pantry, please submit an intake form
from our website above. The Golden Grizzlies Pantry will be distributing care packages.

Many college students struggle with not having enough to eat. Feeling hungry can take your focus away from your studies and affect your ability to learn. If you find yourself
in this situation, visit our food cupboard in the Student Resource Center where you can collect staple food items and hygiene/household products. At a later time, a caseworker will meet with you to learn about your needs and review your eligibility for other resour- ces, such as:
- Assistance with tuition and other educational expenses like books
- Community food banks and free hot meals

The Warrior Meal Share Program supports currently enrolled Wayne State students by providing meal swipes to reduce food insecurities students may face.
