At Handbags of Hope we believe a woman's handbag is a very important personal possession. We carry a
small world in there. But what happens when you run for safety in the middle of the night?  Often you take
only the clothes on your back and a child in your arms. Many of the women who receive our handbags are
victims of Domestic Violence.  Our concept is simple, we take donated purses and add 10 items of necessity.
We then deliver the filled purses to domestic abuse shelters so they can be given to women who need them. Experience and testimonials have shown us over and over, how much such a small gift such as a new purse
is appreciated by the women who receive them.
