Washtenaw County Health Department immunization fees include an administration fee of $10 per injection and the cost of the vaccine.  As a Medicaid provider, they must charge comparable fees to
all of their clients.

If you are eligible however, for the Vaccine For Children (VFC) program, the cost of your vaccine is covered, and you will be charged an administration fee of $10 per injection.  If you are a Medicaid recipient, the administration fee will be billed to Medicaid.  (The Public Health Department does NOT
bill private insurance.  They will give you a receipt and you may contact your insurance company to determine coverage and request reimbursement).  Call 734-544-6770

VFC Program Vaccine shall be administered ONLY to a child (18 years or younger) who is:
Enrolled in Medicaid
Has no insurance OR
Is a Native American or Alaskan Native OR
Receives services at Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or a Rural Health Clinic and has
health insurance that does not pay for the cost of the vaccine (Public Health is a FQHC lookalike).
